Total books owned, ever~ I cannot even begin to put a number to this. I would have to say 'thousands.'
Last book I bought ~ Tender Warrior: God's Intention for a Man by Stu Weber. It's a gift for my husband for Father's Day.
Last book I read ~ The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace. I'm currently re-reading Randy Alcorn's book titled Heaven.
5 books that mean a lot to me ~ This is a difficult one because I can usually find precious nuggats in every book I read.
- Be Ye Transformed: Understanding God's Truth by Chuck and Nancy Missler
- Money, Possessions and Eternity by Randy Alcorn
- Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God by Blackaby and King
- Spirit Warrior by Stu Weber
- Knowing God by J.I. Packer
Of course there are tons more which I could, and probably should list. There were great books on child rearing, marriage, great fictional books such as This Present Darkness by Peretti which really opened my eyes to how powerful prayer is for us as believers. The Cost of Discipleship by Bonhoeffer, books by C.S. Lewis, and Watchman Nee and of course, books by Tozer and Jerry Bridges, to list a few more.
Okay, my turn to tag some people. If you've already done it, let me know. If you want to do it and I didn't tag you, do it anyway and let me know!
Roger, Dan, Gayla, Becky, Christa, you are the next one's tagged! :)

The most interesting thing about finding out people's book habits is how you can sometimes see the spiritual journey they've been on!
Thanks for taking the time to play along.
Thanks for tagging me Claire:) Here are my answers:
Total books owned,ever--maybe four or five hundred.
Last book I bought--Keep in Step with the Spirit by J.I. Packer
Last book I read--The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges
Five Books I've read that mean alot to me--
1)War of Words by Paul David Tripp, this is one of the best books I've ever read. It deals with the desires of our hearts and how that is reflected in the way we speak...very convicting.
2)The Excellent Wife by Martha Peace, as a young wife this book has presented itself to be a valuable resource of practical and Biblical wisdom for addressing my role as a godly helper for my husband and gives helps to discipline my attitudes and desires to be more in line with the Lord's.
3)Knowing God by J.I. Packer. Deep, challenging and provoking...this book changed my view of God as something, to Someone. I've read it many times in my pursuit to know Him.
4)Totally Sufficient by Ed Hinsdon and Howard Eyrich, this book has stirred up my love and devotion to Scripture as all I need pertaining to life and godliness.
5) Desiring God by John Piper. This is a passionate and inspiring book challenging the reader to enjoy God alone and dare to seek to see Him in His glory.
Thanks, Christa, for being so speedy! We like a lot of the same authors. I'm looking forward to getting Totally Sufficient by Ed Hinsdon and Howard Eyrich. That sounds like a very good book!
I agree w/that Sparrow. :) A person's book habits are very telling!
