Lobster for Dinner....

The birthday celebration meal of lobster (them) and steak (me) was a huge success! I had never fixed lobster before and only knew of the boiling method. The butcher guy told me that with the boiling you lose some of the flavor. His recommendation (which I thought must be good because he began drooling as he told me what to do) was to put the tails (ours were around 5 to 5 1/2 ou. ea.) in a 2 in deep pan, along with a melted stick of butter and minced garlic cloves. For four tails I did one stick of butter and 5 garlic cloves minced. Then you cover with foil and bake in your oven at 275 degrees for about 20-25 minutes (they will turn pink and the tail will just begin to curl). Serve with more melted butter. Both, hubby and Nana said it was so good and are already planning when we can have them again. I didn't think they were too expensive...$3.99 per tail. My steak was fabulous and I'll fix them lobster anytime as long as I have my steak! :D

I'll be back to post more later but I am off to my second funeral for this week. Catch you later!

Do you not like lobster? I don't, and my family thinks I'm nuts.

I'll join you with your steak! We're definitely a "no lobster" family here too! I remember reading a funny Dave Barry column where he says that clearly lobsters are bugs, and therefore inedible. Works for me! : )
