Hodge Podge

What an absolutely gorgeous day! The sun is out, it's headed up to the 90's (which is a tad bit warm for my tastes but I am NOT complaining) and I had lunch with one of my dear friends and her daughter. My prayer partner, Nancy is back in town for a few days, as well as her daughter, Abby. Abby is Pilot's best friend from about 8th grade. What fun to get caught up with what is going on in their lives and to have time to pray together for our families, our children, Nancy's upcoming trip to Zambia (a medical missions trip again), our churches, and our husband's jobs. I think we were able to pretty much cover it all in the limited amount of time that we had! :)

Really, it feels like I haven't had any time to blog for a while and actually that is correct. What with everything going on with my mom (who is doing much better, thank you to all who prayed) and all our appointments, and life in general I've been busy. However, I hope to get back into it pretty soon.

However, I do have grand news to share!!! Drum roll.....please.....

My niece who blogs over at Psalm 127 and just had that precious little girl named Anna Claire is coming to visit!!!! When? June 8th!!!! We are so excited around here we can hardly stand it!!! And, if my sister can swing it, She will be coming about a week before and staying for about a week after Claire's visit! And, it gets better...well, not better than getting to hold that baby, but almost better in a different kind of way....June 8th is my sister's BIRTHDAY!!!! And, as of right now, I'm scheduled for my knee scope surgery. Isn't that thrilling? I mean all the Big News? Not the tiny news...

My sister's visit isn't finalized just yet but she is working on it and I do hope it all works out and comes together. The other thing is Claire's hubby will be holding down the fort with the four boys! Don't you know that will be a riot?! What fun. There will be lots of stories to tell Mom when she gets back home! But I could just hug Bob enabling Claire and Anna Claire to come. (Can you imagine, THREE Claires in the same house?!) Nana was just beside herself with joy! Of course, she has cried a tear or two...Happy tears, not sad tears. She can hardly wait!

Well, that's it for now. It's late and I have another early morning start.

Seems that you need some serious weight on your feet to keep them attached to the ground *grin*

That's great news, Claire! I am so happy for you. I pray all will work out and y'all will have a wonderful time together.

God's Grace.

Hmmm, scheduling surgery on the day that we get there? I see you're going for the sympathy vote here, as in "Oh, of course you can hold the baby, Claire--anything to take your mind off your discomfort! You just sit back and hold her for as long as you want!" LOL!!! Pretty tricky . . .
