I went to the doctor's office today to have my legs checked out and let me tell you that since last Wednesday, at about the same time in the morning, I have lost 6 pounds of fluid!

May I repeat that? I have lost 6 pounds of fluid!!! Since. last. week.
The doc brought other people in just to see the difference a week makes with losing the fluid!
Yea! I'm normal again! I have ankles and bones! I am YOUNG again! :D
No more stockings but still a pretty high dose of lasix for maintenance but it's worth it if I don't have to wear the compression stockings.

Claire that's great! Praise The Lord.

Okay, I want the lasix now instead of what I'm taking!!!

Isn't that amazing, Jules? I could hardly believe it. I knew I had lost because I could wear my shoes and my face looked thinner etc but my goodness! PTL!

Except that Lasix is hard on your kidneys especially since you are a diabetic. Why are you on a maintenance dose? If it was related just to the pred and you are off the pred, you shouldn't need it. Your kidneys are fragile AC. Be careful!

Well, that would make me jump for joy!

If I have too much salt, (chips, etc) My hands get swollen. I have learned that when this happens I make some homemade soup and put lots of parsley in. It is a natural diuretic and works great for me.(The canned soup is loaded with sodium unless you get low sodium)
