Sufficiency

Of this I can be certain: God is sufficient to meet my needs. Period.

Do the demands of your life seem overwhelming at times? If so, I'm telling you, you must learn to rely not only on your own resources but also upon the promises of God. He will hold your hand and walk with you if you let Him. So even if your circumstances are difficult, trust in the Father!

Sometimes it is difficult to "let go and let God." Often times we were brought up to 'do it ourselves.' Don't rely on anyone else. You have to look out for number 1 because no one else will. My heart is truly saddened when I hear of people with this outlook on life. It makes it very difficult to let go and let God...

The Psalmist writes, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning" Psalm 30:5). But when we are suffering, the morning may seem very, very far away. It isn't. God promises that He is "near to those who have a broken heart" (Psalm 34:18). When I am troubled, I must turn to Him, and I must encourage my friends and family to do so likewise.

If you are discouraged, or get discouraged in the near future, by the inevitable demands of life here on earth, be mindful of this fact: the loving heart of God is sufficient to meet any challenge...including yours.

You just nailed my "old self" right to the wall. That was my mantra, baby. Me first. Me second. Me third, fourth and fifth.

I'm not even sure where I am on the list any more...now how cool is that?

Melissa, it's like the Balm of Gilead, isn't it? :)

Thanks, Corry! I'm glad He spoke to you!

Jules, on most days, I would bet you aren't even ON the list anymore! How cool is THAT?!

Saija, I'm so glad you dropped in to. And, let me know you did!

JB, we all have so many needs. Even needs that we are totally unaware of. Like you, I'm grateful He is the One meeting them in His perfect way!
